So I'm cooking a turkey - despite family insistence that the only thing I could handle was a pre-cooked turkey. The wings are sticking out - not sure if that's a problem yet or not. 30 minutes in - 210 to go.
Can't wait for football to start - even if it is the Detroit Lines - as I'm sick of the three hour long NBC and Macy's commercial - er I mean the Thanksgiving Day parade. Though my sister is very nostalgic about the whole thing. Highlight this year: Carly Simon singing "Let the River Run," one of my mom's all time favorite songs.
Outrage is a good thing. It means you still care. For my daily outrage, stop by when you can.

Outrage Just Means You Care
A National Day of Outrage - what a concept. Let me know when we start talking about a National Outrage Month - or, be still my heart - the Year of Outrage.
Where's the Outrage Been?
Seriously. I ask myself this everyday.
But when it comes to Wall Street bonuses, it's definitely the question to ask.

The Big E
Being hit daily with the reality of my mom not being here for Thanksgiving. Went to a great parade in Stamford - big balloons, beautiful weather and in a city of this size, ran into a few people I knew. Made it feel like home. Just made me wish she was still here even more. I promised her last year that I have her up for parade weekend.
Not worrying about the turkey doesn't take away from the huge hole we all feel. Hard to even think about Christmas. She was the axis - no question about it. Am heading down on Wednesday for the long weekend. My younger sister has the heavy lifting - my mom's stuffing "recipe" - and luckily Balducci's is handling the rest.

Where Did Buffy Go?
Someone at work the other day said vampires weren't scarey anymore. I disagreed at the time. After reading this article, maybe he's on to something.
